BluffMaster's Review of Jolly LLB 2

BuffMaster's Review of Jolly LLB 2

Subhash Kapoor seems to be a believer of the proverb - All's well, that ends well
But for me, although it ended well, but all is not well for the Akshay Kumar starrer.

Jolly LLB 2 is a courtroom drama film, relying heavily on emotion and drama, and defying logic whenever it can.

Now some details
Pros :-
1. Performance - Akshay Kumar and Saurav Shukla both gave an honest effort. However, there is no one show stealer. The ending monologues for both were packed with utmost punch.

2. Dialogues - There are some really witty dialogues, which will tickle our funny bones

Cons :-
1. Script - Inspite of taking up a sensitive issue like fake encounter, the script seemed to be hushed up and forced. The movie defied logic everywhere. Jolly's transition from an asshole to a noble Ramchandra was completely unconvincing. The whole movie seemed to be bogged down by unnecessary drama, which completely downplayed the seriousness of the issue.

2.  Starcast - Huma Qureshi was a complete mismatch in the movie. Not sure, why she was casted in the movie
Even an actor like Anu Kapoor didn't help to the cause. He tried hard, but could never replicate the aura of Boman Irani. His theatrics, throughout the movie was neither funny nor intimidating. It was only irritating
Even Saurav Shukla's theatrics, though meant to be funny, were overdone in most of the places

3.  Songs - Redundant and unnecessary

BuffMaster's Verdict :- Overall, as a successor of Arshad Warsi starrer Jolly LLB, I had a lot of expectations from it's sequel, but for me, it utterly failed to reach the heights as it's predecessor.  The last 15 mins were impressive, but other than that, the movie didn't tick with me. Go to watch the movie, only if you have nothing else to do.

BuffMaster Rating - 6 out of 10
